Pure sciences, applied sciences: the non-existent duality

science, pure sciences, applied sciences, technology, technoscienceAbstract
The distinction between pure science and applied science as two distinct and irreconcilable disciplines is not a product of our time. It emerged in the 19th century and continues to this day, reinforced by the complexity of science and its various branches, technology and technoscience, major scientific discoveries, and theories in the various fields. Investigating these concepts through articles by Feibleman, among others, shows that there is no such difference, but rather that it is a single science.
