Justification

We subscribe to editorial practices to scientific and research culture.

Before the implementation of social impact projects developed by Media, Higher and Postgraduate education subsystems and before the scarcity of academic-scientific magazines that publish in open access, Science and Philosophy|Revista Académica offers its services at no cost to students, teachers, researchers and public policy decision-makers within know your research results every six months.

For this purpose, a line of action is adopted that consists of bringing together technological tools, content and conception about what is scientific culture in the educational field and the results of academic research in social studies of science and technology with a focus on science, technology and society.

Therefore, «interpretative flexibility» is essential to resolve technoscientific controversies in the classroom, to appreciate the relevance of uncertainty and value assumptions, and in general that implies taking into account philosophical stances to transmit the teaching that science does not speak with a single voice, even with the introduction of Key categories such as library diversity allow new agents to develop democratic practices of access to knowledge in institutions that have not yet been consolidated in open access, and decide that their research practices require a multidisciplinary path validated by institutions consolidated in national research programs.

Therefore, given this situation, editorial services are provided to developing institutions to acquire a scientific and investigative culture with the collaboration of institutions and agents of transformation so that they benefit from the infrastructure developed by expert collaborators.

With enthusiasm we unite knowledge and creativity arising from transdisciplinary practice and put them at the service of social impact projects that require to be communicated from the perspective of scientific and investigative culture.

History of the magazine

First went to Pears.

A group of pregraduate and postgraduate theses and researchers from different public universities in Mexico, dealt with Humanities themes in what concerns reason and volunteerism. In 1917 they came together to develop a magazine called Peras (πέρας) belonging to the Open Journal System (OJS) family.

Based on the postulate, according to which, as the reason has pursued its phenomenological process to define the strata of knowledge: perception, intuition and finally abstraction, in the same way the volunteer must pursue its phenomenological process to conform a knowledge that accounts for the discourses and practices about the limit in global milestones of violence, migration, injustice, state and non-state authoritarianism.

To undertake the task of disseminating research results (review paper), the team of collaborators began to develop a Research Seminar on “Excesses of violence in Mexico”. In this seminar, a concept was adopted that encompassed an ideology against violence, a concept that had philosophical roots and that implied an ethics before the knowledge of violent action, this is how the idea arose, a word of Greek origin (πέρας) which means limit; it denotes the limit of a reality of a process, although this word is also used to mark an extreme, the end or conclusion of an era, a form of reasoning and the beginning of another. Its objects of knowledge are violence, the canon, the convention, the ordeal, the right, the barrier, the history, the progress and the capital.

There are two types of limit: sacred limit and secular limit, both ontological conditions of limit create paradoxes from which a founding violence appears that marks a new procedure
